So, what about the nightlife in Mumbai?

Mumbai has some of the largest and most popular nightclubs in India. It is known as the city that never sleeps!

The last couple of years bars and nightclubs have popped up in Mumbai. You`ll find beer bars, upper-class cocktail clubs and discos. Most discos charge an entrance fee, and other discos only allow couples. The most attractive party spots are scattered in the tourist area of Colaba, Bandra and Juhu.

Busaba Café -- in Colaba (Mandlik Rd)

When we arived at Busaba, we immediately liked the fresh red interior and the cool colors. I love mojitos and always buy it if I have the chance. So we bought mojitos for 300 rupees and sat down on the comfortable couches.

The evening continued with chill-out music in the background, but there was no party atmosphere -- probably because we were the only ones at Busaba! And the music was too loud. I could barely talk to my friends, so we just sat there and stared at the walls while drinking.

Busaba Cafe is also a restaurant, and serves Vietnamese and Burmese food. But we didn`t try the food cause we only came in for the drinks.

Ghetto Bar -- in Haji Ali

Ghetto Bar is known for rock, beers, graffiti and it`s packed in the weekends. So, if you`re a rock lover or want to play pool, go here!

If you`re heading here with friends, I suggest you order pitchers -- a good way of splitting the costs for beers.

But when we grabbed some beers here, we only heard a strange music combination of techno. The music was too loud to carry out any kinds of conversation!

On the other hand, the laid-back atmosphere did make up for it.

Red Light -- in Khala Gowda

If you like house or hip-hop, this is the place to go. It's a good and popular place where you can hang out, and get to know other travellers. Some will likely think that the nightclub is too small. But that`s because it fills up quickly, so it gets crowded!
